Langley had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short. The winning pitcher was Jose Contreras(4-7) who allowed 3 runs in 6 innings. Contreras was helped out by Trevor Hoffman who recorded his 6th save. Kevin Millwood(2-4) absorbed the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 7 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
